Rutgers Business School Executive Education is tailoring one of its newest certificate programs to assist veterans who are transitioning into the civilian workforce. Returning from military service back to a civilian life can be one of the biggest challenges a veteran will face.
Upon leaving the military, returning veterans must find a new job or possibly even an entirely different career. We’ll help you get to know which industries you might transition into, how to interview for a civilian position, how to denote applicable skills from the military on a resume, and overall what business skills you must acquire to succeed.
Too often, veterans come home from duty and have difficulty capitalizing upon and applying their years of military experience and training to a civilian career.
Through the introduction of its new Mini-MBA: Business Management for Military and Veterans certificate program, Rutgers Business School Executive Education (RBSEE) is taking the initiative to aid our worthy military service members and veterans in preparing to enter the civilian workforce. The five-day accelerated education program, beginning August 24th, is designed to give an overview of the key concepts, tools, and techniques required to succeed in challenging civilian business environments.
The program will be taught by a distinct blend of instructors, including veterans who have gone on to thriving business careers, distinguished Rutgers faculty, and local business leaders. The Mini-MBA: Business Management for Military and Veterans will tackle such topics as: Business Strategy, Supply Chain Management, Business Law and Ethics, Managing Employees, and Leadership in Business. Attendees will leave knowing the key concepts, tools and techniques that are necessary to succeed in a challenging and ever-changing civilian business environment.
