Veteran Business Seminar Series
Thinking about starting a business? The best way to learn the ins and outs of embarking on a veteran-owned business venture, is meeting with well-established veteran entrepreneurs. Made possible due to a generous grant by Wells Fargo Bank, John F. Kennedy University brings veteran students, and their spouses, a tuition-free Veteran Business Seminar Series through the Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Led by notable veteran business owners, each series consists of six one-hour sessions. The first series (A) begins May 24, 2016 and is dedicated to guiding students in the initial stages of starting a business—from creating a business plan, identifying market opportunities, and learning what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.
The second series (B) begins August 30, 2016, and highlights topics for advancing existing businesses, and economics and sales growth, and offers mentorship opportunities. Learn more about the Veteran Business Seminar Series, and get business off the ground and flourishing.

The Valor Center
To further provide assistance to valued service members, John F. Kennedy University has established the Valor Center, located at its Pleasant Hill campus. The center is designed to equip veteran students with the tools needed to succeed—from computers and tutoring to mental health services. Plus, the center provides a comfortable place for all veteran students at John F. Kennedy University to connect with one another, and support each other as they navigate life beyond the military.
Veteran Education Benefits
John F. Kennedy University also provides veteran education benefits to active duty service members, reservists, veterans, and veteran family members through the G.I. Bill. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs determines eligibility for benefits. Additionally, military training can be transferred to John F. Kennedy University as credits, and the application fee to enroll is waived for military personnel and veterans.
